Sedalia, MO – During the month of April, the Pettis County Early Childhood Co-op chose to invest in the research, education and community programs that save babies’ lives and prevent birth defects and prematurity by participating in a fundraiser for the March of Dimes. Staff members and patrons sold raffle tickets for various items and eventually raised $1,375.00. Cindy Moon was the Top Ticket Seller.
The March of Dimes, Michelle Hunolt, was thrilled to receive the check from Mrs. Grace Kendrick and Mrs. Dana North, both of whom are Sedalia School District employees.
Mrs. Dana North, the Co-op’s team captain for the past five years says, “Our early childhood staff really supports the March of Dimes because many of the previous ambassadors have been students at the Co-op. The original idea came from Nurse Kathy. She and I developed the plan together. This is the most money we have ever raised since I’ve been helping with the March of Dimes efforts here at the Co-op.”
"The Co-op has a strong and dedicated staff who work together to help children and their families throughout each year. The money raised for March of Dimes is just one example of our efforts," says the very proud Co-op Principal, Mrs. Grace Kendrick.
