 Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church began during the days of slavery before any permanent place of worship was built. Our church is a member of the General Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and contributes generously to the work of that body. We also have three active Missionary Circles and support the work of Foreign Mission through the Lott Carey Baptist Foreign Missionary Convention. Our church has grown both spiritually and physically; and since the very beginning we have had an active part in building the work of the Kingdom. We, the members, look forward to even greater work in the future.

In light of our very rich history, we can truly say that: "THE LORD HAS BROUGHT US FROM A MIGHTY LONG WAY."
