Mission Statement:
The Musical Society’s mission is to bring professional-level musical entertainment to Pamlico County and to enhance the understanding and appreciation of music through informational programs for children and adults.
About Us:
The Pamlico Musical Society was formed in the spring of 1997 as an affiliate of the Pamlico County Arts Council. Its purpose is to provide increased and ongoing access in Pamlico County to professional-level music.
Through a collaborative effort with the East Carolina University School of Music and its dean, Brad Foley, ECU faculty musicians provide the core of each concert season. As the Musical Society grows and the concert series expands, other musicians from around the country are contributing to a diverse program of musical performances, music activities for school-age youth, and a community music educational program.
