Babies are aware human beings who deserve respect, tenderness, warmth and, above all, a listening heart. Increase your ability to communicate with your baby, strengthening the bond between the two of you through the use of massage techniques.

Benefits include:

Enhances loving communication between caregiver and baby and nutures parenting skills.
Helps to strengthen and regulate baby's digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems.
Helps parents understand and respond appropriately to baby’s non-verbal clues.
May help relieve baby's gas and colic.
Helps both parents and baby to relax and relieves stress.
Teaches babies to be aware of their bodies tensions and how to release them.
Enhances parents and caretaker’s sense of competence in dealing with fussy, sick and special need babies.

This is a class that will meet on two consecutive Tuesdays from 4:00-5:30. Certified Massage Instructors instruct this class. Please bring an extra blanket and one pillow to class. This is an interactive class. Because of this, class size is limited. Class is meant for mom, dad and baby. Pre-registration is required.

Location: Altru Hospital

Cost: $10.00 fee to register for all the Altru’s prenatal classes.
