Calvary is a Food Net Distribution site. Food Net is a program in Lincoln where discarded food is gathered from supermarkets, grocery stores, and restaurants and then given away free. There are more than twenty sites across the city. Calvary's is one of the original sites in the program.

Volunteers work throughout the week collecting food from the designated pick-up locations, bringing it back to the church, and sorting and preparing the food for distribution. At 6:30 every Thursday the food is given away free to whoever needs it.

"Harold's Closet" has grown as an auxiliary to Food Net. Clothing and household items are available for no cost. Donations are always welcome.

Calvary's Food Net site welcomes volunteers any time during the week: for food pick-up, sorting and prep work, and distribution on Thursdays, and clean-up. Contact Aldine Jackson at 402-423-0172 or call the church office at 402-476-7353 for more information.
