FEST SCHEDULE

Friday, March 8:

4-8pm: Craft Fest opening night (free admission)

Shop opening night of the 14th Annual Unglued: Craft Fest and our 70+ local and regional makers!  Enjoy the Local Libations Lounge in Buffalo Court (in front of the old Herbergers space), tunes by DJ Pretty Ricky, grab a scavenger hunt from our info booth to complete, stop around to make a free Fest Flair item in 3 different spots around the Mall (you'll find these on the map!), grab a ticket for the Crafty Lounge, and more below!

4-8pm: Crafty Lounge open (tickets available HERE)

Grab tickets ($29 advance, $35 at door if tickets remain day-of) to enjoy one helluva crafty, fun night!  Located in the near Buffalo Court in the art gallery across from Claire's this lounge will include a drink ticket, Yeobo Sweet Shop cupcake, and 3 make and take crafts.  More HERE!

4-8pm: Free Friday Fest Flair

Find 3 free easy make and takes to create inspired by our Fest poster around the mall!  These are self-guided so be sure to help your kiddos if they create!  You'll find a station in each of these areas:  Best Buy/Aquarium Court, Macys/Center Court, and Buffalo Court.

Saturday, March 9:

10am-6pm: Craft Fest is open (free admission)

Shop 70+ crazy talented Fest makers throughout the mall hallways all day Saturday!  Local DJs will pump the tunes all day, the Local Libations Lounge will be back open in Buffalo Court (near the old Herbergers), grab a scavenger hunt from our info booth to complete with fun prizes for completing, and the Young Makers' Market will be open in the Food Court Hall to shop 8 young makers and their products.  You'll also find our new drop-in Saturday Crafty Lounge near Center Court all day to color and craft campy friendship bracelets.

10am-11am: Saturday Swag Hour!  First-ever!

A day or 2 prior to the Fest we'll post select vendors who are a part of our Saturday Swag Hour!  You'll find either samples, surprises, or small biz swag to enjoy in this morning power hour directly at their booth!  This and the Handmade Haul are taking the place of our previous swag bags!

10am-6pm: Handmade Haul

For each Saturday purchase you make with a Fest vendor you'll receive a giveaway ticket to enter our Handmade Haul at our Info Booth at Center Court!  A variety of makers have donated to this epic haul.  Get 5 or more giveaway tickets and you'll receive our commemorative tote for free (otherwise you can purchase it for $5).

Saturday Workshops Schedule:

You'll find our FREE workshop and drop-in DIY opportunities below!  Workshops are for typically the first 20 people (you may start lining up about 20 minutes prior to the workshop). Drop-in DIYs can accommodate a LOT of people while supplies last!

10am: Jar-rariums with Audrey (middle school - adults)

Join us as we will be exploring the wonderful world of terrariums. Learn how this centuries old horticulture method brought coffee to your cup every morning. Using a mason jar, layer by layer we will build up an environment where plants will thrive. These creations hold water easily, making them very low maintenance. They are self-sufficient, even for beginners. This class is great for those who are beginning their gardening journey! (Max 20 participants, ages middle school through adult, free!). Workshop Room #2 - across from Eddie Bauer near JCPenny's wing.

10am-noon: Drop-in Make & Take: Button Making with Handpicked Goods

All ages can drop-in to the Saturday Crafty Lounge next to Macy's in Center Court from 10am-noon to make a button with Handpicked Goods! (in the old Zales location!)

10:30am: Alcohol Ink Art with The 1889 (kids ages 7+)

In this class, kids ages 7+ will learn how to create a fun design on a 5"x4" sheet of Yupo paper with The 1889!  (Max 20 participants, ages 7+, parents are welcome to stay but not required, free, sponsored by The 1889).  Workshop Room #1 - across from Eddie Bauer near JCPenny's wing.

10:30am: Triangle Wreaths with Crooked Lane Farm (middle school - adults)

It’s time to bust out of the round wreath rule. A triangle wreath is a unique twist on the traditional wreath.  These simple wreaths are a minimal, modern way to celebrate anything and everything.  Come learn the steps to making this attractive decoration using wood, twine, floral supplies, and glue.  This is a perfect project for creating a welcoming decoration for your home.  (Max 20 participants, ages middle school - adult, free, sponsored by Crooked Lane Farm).  Workshop Room #3 - West Acres Art Experience next to Hairology in JCPenny's wing.

In this class you will learn to create a watercolor-like design on two 4x4 square coasters with The 1889!  (Max 20 participants, ages 15+, free, sponsored by The 1889). Workshop Room #1 - across from Eddie Bauer near JCPenny's wing.

12pm: Lego Printing with Plains Art Museum (kids ages 6+)

We are going to be creating our own unique lego designs and then printing them with water-soluble ink onto greeting cards. Each student ages 6+ will have the chance to make two designs with the Plains Art Museum.  (Max 20 participants, ages 6+, free, sponsored by Plains Art Museum).  Workshop Room #3 - West Acres Art Experience next to Hairology in JCPenny's wing.

1pm-4pm: Drop-in Make & Take: Stamping & Stamp Carving Pink Erasers with Amy Jo

All ages can drop-in to the Saturday Crafty Lounge next to Macy's in Center Court from 1pm-4pm to craft with Miss Amy Jo!  Kids and adults will be able to stamp with pre-made stamps.  Middle schoolers through adults will be able to carve their own stamp out of a pink eraser to take home following self-guided instructions!  (in the old Zales location!)

1pm: Beaded Chokers and Bracelets with Parachigo (ages 15+)

Hang out with artist studio and DIY space Parachigo to create your own beaded choker or bracelet using a variety of bead colors and charms! (Max 20 participants, ages 15+, free). Workshop Room #2 - across from Eddie Bauer near JCPenny's wing.

1:30pm: Alcohol Ink Art on a Trivet with The 1889 (ages 15+)

In this class you will learn to create a watercolor-like design on a 6 inch hexagon trivet with The 1889!  (Max 20 participants, ages 15+, free, sponsored by The 1889). Workshop Room #1 - across from Eddie Bauer near JCPenny's wing.

1:30pm: Lego Printing with Plains Art Museum (kids ages 6+)

2:30pm: Garment Club with Parachigo (ages 15+)

Bring your own clothing item that needs a lil visible mending to learn the basics of using a patch, needle, and perhaps some mending tape with artist studio and DIY space Parachigo!  (Max 20 participants, ages 15+, free).  Workshop Room #2 - across from Eddie Bauer near JCPenny's wing.

3pm: Vinyl Sticker Making with Dakota Gather, led by artist not_hid (kids ages 5-12)

Learn to make hand-cut collaged vinyl stickers with local artist not_hid! Participants will learn the fundamentals in choosing colors, cutting shapes, and layering to produce a weather-proof piece of art! Proficiency with scissors is required.  (Max 20 participants, ages 5+, parent stays, free, sponsored by Dakota Gather!).  Workshop Room #1 - across from Eddie Bauer near JCPenny's wing.

3pm: Make Your Mark! with the Fargo Public Library (adults)

We’ll be making two DIY bookmarks in our workshop - a Leather Pom Pom Bookmark and a Ribbon Bookmark. All materials provided. This session is for adults.  (Max 20 participants, free, sponsored by Fargo Public Library!).  Workshop Room #3 - West Acres Art Experience next to Hairology in JCPenny's wing.

4pm: Shrinky **** Spring Flair with Maker Nature (kids ages 7+)

Kids ages 7+ will make a set of shrinky **** flair pins (around 3 or 4 as time allows). There will be templates as a starting point, but they can also customize and create before they shrink down their reations and turn them into pins!  (Max 20 participants, ages 7+, parents stay, free).  Workshop Room #2 - old Merle Norman location near JCPenny's wing.

4:30pm: Vinyl Sticker Making with Dakota Gather, led by artist not_hid (ages 12+)

4:30pm: Here There Be Unicorns! with the Fargo Public Library (kids ages 3-12)

Kids and tweens ages 3-12 (with parent!) are welcome to join the Fargo Public Library at our craft workshop to make a glittery, magical Unicorn planter! All materials provided for planter, plant not provided.  (Max 20 participants, ages 3-12, parent stays, free, sponsored by Fargo Public Library!).  Workshop Room #3 - West Acres Art Experience next to Hairology in JCPenny's wing.

5pm: Drop-in:  Craft Bash (ages 15+)

Enjoy the last hour of the Fest in the Crafty Lounge near Macy's Center Court as we pull out remaining supplies from the Friday Fest Flair stations and Crafty Lounge!  This could include anything from mini origami stars to fest magnets to Matisse-style succulents - all via self-guided written instruction to follow and craft out your last hour of the Fest.

5:30pm: Watercolor Cards with Maker Nature (ages 15+)

Ready to level up that snail mail? Learn to paint loose watercolors in this beginner friendly workshop with Ashley from My Actual Brand on an inspired Fest evening. You’ll explore brief color mixing and some different watercolor techniques to make 2-3 watercolor cards with your new artsy skills.  (Max 20 participants, ages 15+, free).  Workshop Room #2 - across from Eddie Bauer near JCPenny's wing.
