Chinese New Year Festival in Washington DC area is host by Asian Community Service Center (ACSC) annually. Usually it is one day in-door events with cultural performances including dragon and lion dances, delicious Asian foods, New Year Parade, Culture exhibition, Craft show, language, health and business booths, and children's activities, among other attractions. We encourage you to wear Asian costume or your traditional costume to share with our community. The mission of our event is: Return to Tradition.

Stage Performance

Stage Performance features Asian traditional style including Dragon dance, Lion dance, kids dance, folk song, traditional instrument, Korean martial arts, Vietnmese folk dance and others. Every year maybe has some change.

Activities

This is the most exciting part for all kids from 2 years old to teenage. You will experience all kinds of Chinese games, try craft, learn greeting in Chinese, writing your name in Chinese, hand craft. We also have games for adult. Some visitor can stay at our activities area for whole day. We will have something new every year. Don't miss it.

Asian Cuisines

If you like Asian cuisines, you can't miss the hand make dumpling. They will make in front of you. And many other Asian food too

Craft Exhibition

Traditional artist will show you how they make the craft there. You even can try some.

Draw Prize

There will be 3 times draw prize. You will surprise how they work. You just sit at your seat. They will draw your seat number to decide who will get the prize. Also children can get lucky money at the entrance.

Dragon Parade

Usually at 2pm, we will have dragon parade. Dragon will lead the parade. More performance group will join the parade. Sometimes, our Vips will join us too. Dragon will be really close to you. Don't be scared. Our dragon will bring you good luck.

Culture Exhibition

You will find all kinds of Chinese and other Asian culture exhibition there. You even can buy some home. The culture show will bring you back to our traditional age. Welcome to wear your traditional costume to share with us.
