Join us for our 22nd Annual Butterfly Festival on Saturday, August 6 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The festivities will be held at The Watershed Institute, 31 Titus Mill Road, Pennington, NJ.

Many of our treasured activities and events will be offered throughout the day. We will have our Insect Zoo, Butterfly and Bug Parade, and tours of the Kate Gorrie Butterfly House.

There will be food trucks, live entertainment, a DJ for music, kids’ games & crafts, and more. Our Nature Shop will be stocked with everything your little butterfly or bug may need.

We will have pony and horse rides throughout the day (depending on the weather) by Megan Offermann of Red Sky Ranch in Columbus, NJ.

The schedule for the live entertainment is as follows. Each session will have one exclusive show as follows:

1st session:10:00am -12:00pm

10:00am-11:00am: Rizzo’s Wildlife Show –  Animal show with reptiles & mammals This program, curated after more than 20 years by professionals, will provide children and adults alike with a fun, inspirational experience. Rizzo’s Wildlife Show brings multi-sensory and interactive experiences with wildlife. Their staff are expertly trained to reach all types and levels of learners. Some of the featured animals could be a reptile, an amphibian or a mammal.

2nd Session: 12:30pm – 2:30pm

1:00pm -2:00pm – Bubble Show – Fantastic fun with bubbles

Children and adults will be entranced by colorful bubbles in all shapes and sizes. Enjoy music, “bubbleology”, games and comedy in a show offered by Currier’s Magical Mania of Princeton.

In an hourlong show, a “bubbleologist” will start with the tiniest bubble and progress to the gigantic bubble, he will blow bubbles inside of bubbles, create bubble chains and end with his greatest masterpiece – a child in a bubble. There will be games, dances and a gigantic shower of bubbles. This show is geared to the young at heart!

3rd Session: 3:00pm -5:00pm

3:45pm- 4:45pm:  Eyes of the Wild Show  – Travis Gale and his amazing animals!

Eyes Of The Wild is an exotic animal rescue in Hunterdon County that provides homes to over 175 animals and 60 different species from throughout the animal kingdom. The organization strives to give unwanted, neglected, and confiscated creatures the proper care and quality of life they deserve. These shows, which share the stories of animal ambassadors to educate and inspire a love of nature in audiences of all ages, funds this nonprofit.
