Sears has a long record of attempting to strip public schools of funding

VIRGINIA - Ahead of the June 17 primary in Virginia, the Democratic Party of Virginia is continuing to highlight the top five reasons Winsome Earle-Sears is too extreme to lead the Commonwealth.

Today is a reminder that Sears has a long record of attempting to strip public schools of funding and refusing to stand up for Virginia students as Donald Trump attacks funding that would support students.

“Winsome Earle-Sears is more interested in cutting funding schools need to serve their students than she is in fighting for Virginia. The Commonwealth deserves a leader who will fight for students instead of Sears who is only focused on pushing Trump’s agenda forward no matter the cost for Virginia,” said DPVA Spokesperson Maggie Amjad.
