Alameda Youth Committee 'The Piece and Kindness Campaign'

Alameda, CA -- February 3 March 3 - The Alameda Youth Committee (AYC), has created "The Piece and Kindness Campaign" to demonstrate that individual kindnesses come together to form our beautiful Alameda community. The AYC is asking all Alameda residents to show what kindness they bring to the picture on a blank 4x4 puzzle piece. Pieces can be picked up at the Alameda Recreation and Park Department (ARPD), Office at 2226 Santa Clara Ave. or by visiting "The Piece and Kindness Campaign" table at South Shore Center in front of Trabocco(by the frog fountain) during the following dates/ times: Tuesday, February 14 from 4pm 6pm, Friday, February 17 from 4pm 6pm, or Saturday, February 25 from 2pm 4pm. For organizations with large orders please contact Mandy McGowen at mmcgowen@alamedaca.gov with organization name, age group, number of pieces required, and delivery or pick-up details. The final community puzzle will put together and displayed on Friday, March 17 at the Veteran's Memorial Building, 2203 Central Ave, from 7:00pm 8:30pm. AYC members will make a brief presentation to share about their project. The AYC is a leadership and service group for 6th 12th grade students.
