The Numbers Are In- Wyoming's Economy Continues to Strengthen

Wyoming's economy continues to improve, despite record inflation nationally. The state's June unemployment rate of 3.2% is the lowest it's been since October 2008. Year-over-year total jobs are up as well. Both sales and use tax collections and severance tax collections have increased when compared to 2021. Oil and gas jobs are still slow to recover, the industry still feeling feeling the impacts of the Biden Administration's war on Wyoming's energy industry.

Governor Gordon named Vice-Chair of Western Governors Association

Governor Gordon attended the Western Governors Association annual meeting in Idaho this week, where he was named Vice-Chairman. WGA has a proud collaborative tradition of developing effective policy to improve the lives of all westerners. The 2022 meeting included policy resolutions addressing National Minerals Policy; Federal-State Land Exchanges and Purchases; and Recreation and Tourism on Public Lands.
