Governor Taking Action to Develop Solutions for High Fuel Prices

Responding to surging gas and diesel prices, Governor Mark Gordon has announced the formation of a Gas and Diesel Price Working Group that will focus on ways to find relief for consumers feeling the pinch of rising fuel costs. The group includes members of the Governor’s cabinet, representatives of the transportation and agricultural sectors, citizens and legislators. “I’m committed to considering any and all possible ways, including tax reductions, to provide some quick relief for consumers,” Governor Gordon said.

Flags are at half staff in honor and memory of a Wyoming Marine

Governor Gordon on Friday ordered flags to be flown at half-staff statewide in honor of a U.S. Marine from Buffalo who died during a training exercise in California. Seth Rasmuson was one of five Marines from Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing who were killed in an Osprey aircraft crash during a training exercise on June 8. Flags will remain at half-staff until sunset on Monday, June 13. Rasmuson is a 2019 graduate of Buffalo High School.

Governor Addresses Army Guard Aviators During Deployment Ceremony

Governor Gordon attended the farewell ceremony for 28 Wyoming Army National Guard "Outrider Aviators", who are deploying to several countries in support of Operation Spartan Shield. Along with the state flag, the unit was presented with an “Entering Wyoming” highway sign to display at their Company headquarters while deployed.

Governor Visits with Cheyenne Softball Team

Governor Gordon gave a Wyoming flag to the Cheyenne Extreme Fastpitch Softball team during a visit to the Capitol. The Extreme are heading to Missouri for a national tournament next month.
