Arts and Entertainment

March 27, 2023

From: Cedar Lakes Conference Center

Cedar Lakes is happy to announce the return of their popular “Folk Art at the Lakes” Artisan Workshops for 2023.  Fifty eight workshops are scheduled from March to November and include instructional classes for quilting, photography, stained glass, woodturning and wood carving, basketry, creative writing, tinsmithing, blacksmithing, needle felting, painting and a variety of musical instruments.

Cedar Lakes has a long history of Appalachian arts and crafts promotion and has been the home of the Mountain State Art & Craft Fair since it opened in 1963.  The beautiful grounds and picturesque setting provide for the perfect backdrop for inspiration for artists, young and old.

Students may participate in weeklong or weekend courses and are invited to stay in the lodging facilities.  There are a variety of options to choose from that are designed to meet every budget and personal preference.  Special package costs include instruction, meals and lodging.  The deadline for registration is two weeks before each event starts.
