During the City Council meeting on November 21, 2023, Ashton Floyd was recognized for her winning Christmas Pin design. Ashton is a student in Ms. Cosgrove’s art class at Rawhide Elementary.

The City’s Christmas Pin Contest has become a beloved community tradition over the last 20 years. Each fall, sixth grade students from the community are invited to submit their original sketches for the annual Christmas Pin Contest. This year, 148 students from seven elementary schools submitted entries.

Pins featuring Ashton’s winning design are available to the public in the City Clerk’s office, located on the first floor of City Hall at 201 E. 5th Street. Pins are limited to one per person.
