Clubs and Organizations

July 6, 2023

From: Aspetuck Land Trust

Summer is here, and so are the blueberries! If you haven't already, now is the perfect time to renew your membership with Aspetuck Land Trust. Make the most of your membership and these beautiful warm days with a walk in one of our 45 trailed preserves and access to the blueberry patch in Trout Brook Valley!

Blueberry Patch Opens July 3rd!

All current members will receive instructions early Monday morning on how to access the patch for summer picking.

We thank you for being a part of our crucial work and invite you to enjoy the benefits of protecting land, like basking in the amazing beauty of the Trout Brook Valley and eating fresh blueberries you picked yourself!

Introducing our Summer Interns!

We are excited to welcome Gabi Hebert and Owen Edminster, and welcome back Owen Harlacker, as our wonderful summer interns!

These dedicated interns have wasted no time becoming indispensable members of the team during our Spring Native Plant Sale, planting and cleanup of our native model landscapes, and the Annual Meeting!

At Aspetuck Land Trust, there is rarely a day that goes by without remembering how much we are indebted to Bruce LePage, who fought so hard for the land we love. Without his indomitable spirit there would have been a golf course or a house where now there is protected open space for generations to come. We are proud to say that offering internships to dedicated and passionate young people like Owen, Gabi, and Owen will help keep that spirit alive and continue crucial conservation work.

Leave a Legacy

Protect the nature you love by making a gift to Aspetuck Land Trust in your estate plans. By naming Aspetuck Land Trust as a beneficiary of your will, living trust, or retirement account, you can make a visionary gift that will conserve land for generations to come.

Individuals who have made a planned gift, and have let us know, will be recognized on a permanent “Legacy of Open Space” monument in the 1,009-acre Trout Brook Valley Preserve orchard. Since the Legacy Society was launched, a number of ALT members have come forward to join the Society. These generous gifts help save land for future generations.
