Beekeeper Demo Offered By Stratford Library

The Stratford Library will offer a special program from the Trumbull Nature & Arts Center, “Beekeeping Demonstration & Honey Tasting”. The program is free and open to the public but limited to 30 participants.

Expert Beekeeper and Environmental Educator Mark Ceneri will wear a bee suit and bring all his apiary tools for a fascinating look into the life of a beekeeper and his hives. Ceneri will demonstrate beekeeping equipment that includes hives, frames, smoker and hive tools. This information packed program explores the complex life of honeybees and pollination along with captivating facts about the cooperative structure of honeybee society. A tasting of raw honey for all participants will conclude the program.
