Dear Choir,

For those of you who have not heard, we mourn the loss of Carole Devore, who died on Dec. 16. We hold up Paul Stuehrenberg and family, and each other in prayer.

Our choir party is Wednesday. We'll be celebrating the end of our fall season, toasting Carole’s memory, and warming our spirits for the holiday and New Year on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 5 p.m. in Bethesda’s parish house living room. I'll have the keyboard out for some rehearsing and to sing carols. The Service of the Longest Night is also that evening at 7 p.m.

If you haven't settled on what you might bring, side and main dishes, and dessert items are all welcome!

One Christmas Eve anthem recording: Michaela shared her and her father’s recording of one of our anthems for Christmas Eve: "Methinks I see an heavenly host." Enjoy!

Another Christmas Eve choral anthem: Riu, riu, chiu — a YouTube recording (slightly higher key and all the verses in this one). AND another version, performed by the Monkees!

Take care!

Stephen
