BRIC JazzFest 2023: Grab your tickets before they’re gone!

Panelists Announced:
Dead Rappers Get Better Promotion?

In this #BHeard Town Hall, we examine the physical and mental health of rap artists and explore how improving their health outcomes can become a model for all.

Recently-announced panelists include Dr. Olajide Williams MD, MS, Vice Dean of Community Health at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and founder of Hip Hop Public Health; Keith Nelson Jr., Senior Editor at Men’s Health; Styles P, rapper, entrepreneur, and member of The LOX; Councilman Chi Ossé, Council Member for New York City’s 36th District, representing Bedford-Stuyvesant and North Crown Heights; DJ Enuf, radio personality; and Bob Celestin, entertainment attorney. Author, reverend, writer, and journalist Nicole Duncan-Smith will moderate.

Aangan: South Asian Center for Art & Thought

The Aangan Lit Fest is a celebration of novels, poems, and memoirs of the South Asian diaspora. Featuring readings and Q&As with authors, panel discussions, and writing workshops, the festival seeks to gather writers, industry experts, and readers around a love of literature, storytelling, and shared heritage.
