Our advocacy efforts are paying off!

On June 21, Commissioners approved the 2023 county budget— including $129,788 ($.50 per capita) in historic arts and cultural funding. The funding will be awarded as a block grant to the Asheville Area Arts Council— the designated arts agency for Buncombe County— to be subgranted to local nonprofit arts organizations. Guidelines on how to apply for these funds will be posted soon. Many thanks to Buncombe County for supporting the arts in our community!
