January 4, 2024

From: Bushnell-Sage Library

The featured artist for the month of January at Bushnell-Sage Library is Jody King Camarra.

A Multimedia Teaching Artist, published children's book Illustrator, Ceramicist, Floral Designer and Wandmaker, Jody King Camarra has studied and taught art in many different media and settings and has worked teaching children and adults at a multitude of schools, camps, and programs. King Camarra is currently a faculty artist at Berkshire's CATA, Community Access to the Arts, and BAC, the Berkshire Art Center. She is working on creating a space to make and teach art out of her home studio in Ashley Falls where she lives with her husband, children and dog. When she's not making or teaching art, Jody can be found tending to her flock of chickens and abundant flower and vegetable gardens.

Jody's exhibition will be on display beginning January 3 through the 31st.  There will be an opening reception on Friday, January 5 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  Her exhibition may also be viewed during the library's regularly scheduled open hours.

Fiber artists welcome! Whether you knit, crochet, embroider, felt, or weave, this is the group for you. Join the Berkshire Fiber Friends on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month from 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
