You won't want to miss Café Flamenco this October as award-winning troupe Caminos Flamencos presents Fiesta Jondo, featuring two very special guests from Spain, singer José Méndez and festera/dancer Myriam Vaquero. Together with Yaelisa, Emmy awardwinning artistic director and dancer, and Jason McGuire, musical director and guitarist, they'll deliver a fiery and passionate evening of choreography and music. With Marlon Aldana on percussion and Paul Martin Sounder on upright bass.

José Méndez was born into the legendary Méndez clan of Gypsy flamenco singers from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. A direct descendant of the legendary singer La Paquera, he is the grandson of the dancer "El Pili" and a cousin of Bay Area favorite Kina Méndez. A member of Cristina Hoyo's company for many years, José is one of Spain's great flamenco singers of the current generation.
