Dates Announced for Next Police Exam and Application Deadline;
Cambridge Police Department to Host Recruiting Information Sessions in January

Cambridge, MA – The deadline to apply for the next Civil Service exam?to become a Cambridge Police Officer has been announced. The deadline to apply for the exam is January 16, 2024. Late applications, which would result in an additional $50 fee, will be accepted until January 30, 2024. The written examination is scheduled to take place between March 16, 2024 – March 30, 2024. All interested Cambridge residents are encouraged to apply by visiting www.cambridgepolice.org/joinCPD.

In advance of the application deadline, Cambridge Police will host a series of recruiting information sessions. The first recruiting information session will be hybrid for all interested applicants on Thursday, January 11 at 6 p.m. at the Cambridge Police Department, which is located at 125 6th Street in Cambridge. During this session, residents can get more information on the application, hiring and selection process, learn about key timelines, and talk with officers who can answer your questions.

An additional virtual information session will be offered on Thursday, January 18, 2024, co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Association of Women in Law Enforcement (MAWLE).
