From: Cape May Museums, Arts, Culture

Join us this Holiday Preview Weekend for a visit from ole St. Nick, the ceremonial lighting of the Christmas tree, and more.

Ring the bells and put out the cookies—the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate is welcoming the holiday season. Visit the Emlen Physick Estate for the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 19, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., when Santa arrives to switch on the lights on the huge estate Christmas tree! Before the tree lighting at 7 p.m., enjoy free admission for self-guided tours in the Physick House Museum to take in the wintery Christmas decor.

In addition, returning this year to the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is one of the highlights from last year’s celebration: a free performance of holiday favorites by the Atlantic Brass Band. Dawn's Delights will be on the grounds, selling warm beverages and cookies.

And don't forget to bring charitable donations: Representatives from Toys for Tots will be attending the event and collecting gifts for their charity. The Cape May Community Food Closet will also be accepting non-perishable donations; this year we are collecting in honor of Kathy Makowski.

Visit the Physick Estate on Saturday, Nov. 19 for the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony!
