Tribute to RAS President E. Otis Dyer, Sr.
It is with a heavy heart that we regret to inform you that E. Otis Dyer, Sr. passed away last week. He was President Emeritus of the Rehoboth Antiquarian Society and a strong supporter of the Carpenter Museum.
We all valued the time that we got to spend with him, both as colleges and friends. He had an inspiring dedication to exploring Rehoboth's rich history and his work made a huge impact on the RAS and general Rehoboth community.
Our hearts go out to his family and friends.
He will be missed.
ye Meeting House at Palmers River
In 1974, the Rehoboth Town Bicentennial Commission funded an archaeological dig. The excavation was an archaeological study of the “ye Meeting House at Palmers River” and the Palmers River Burial Ground located on Lake Street in Rehoboth. In honor of the Rehoboth Congregational Church's 300th anniversary we have a new exhibit case featuring artifacts and photographs from this archaeological dig. Come see them on display in our exhibit barn.
