Arts and Entertainment

February 23, 2023

From: Center Theatre for the Performing Arts

Hello fans and friends of the Center Theatre,

I’m excited for the next few weeks! I’m going to be able to announce a lot of new events for the rest of the year. For this week, I get to announce the return of Maine’s king of comedy Bob Marley! Mr. Marley will be in town Saturday, June 17th at 5:30pm and 8:00pm. As you probably know, his shows sell out pretty fast so make your plans.

Next Friday the 3rd we have a night of one-act plays at 7pm. Admission is by donation. You’ll see the spring competition plays from Foxcroft Academy and Central High School. Also on the program is a performance of Monty Python’s Dead Parrot Sketch by Benjamin Johnson and Connor Plante. We’re hoping for at least one other late entry . . . I’ll keep you posted.

On the movie front I’m happy to confirm we’re getting the kids movie that everyone is asking about: The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be starting on April 7th. Tickets aren’t on sale yet, but once they are we’ll get the schedule out. That’s probably enough for this week :-)

Thanks, as always, for your support.
