Festival Schedule

7:30 a.m: Dragon Boat Team Registration Check-In
8:30 a.m: Captains Meeting at Marshalling area
8:45 a.m: Steerers Meeting at the Dragon Boats

8:45 a.m: Marshalling
Teams for the first two races report to the Marshalling area.  Please follow the race schedule.

9:00 a.m: Dragon Boat Race - 1st Heat
10:00 a.m: Opening of CAACC Tent
10:15 a.m: Parade of Nations, All performers are to join the parade.  Group photoshoot to follow.

11:00 a.m: Festival Opening Ceremony
National Anthem - Marissa Olarte Helbing, FACC Director
Welcome and Recognition of Guests - Ann Gonzales, President, CAACC
Musical Interlude - Opera Carolinas
Dotting the Eye of the Dragon - Dr John Chen, Founder, Charlotte Dragon Boat Festival

4:00 p.m: Awards and Trophies "Search for the Best"
4:30 p.m: Dragon Boat Race - Awards Ceremony
4:55 p.m: Closing Remarks - Dr John Chen

On the Main Stage:
In order to include the particiption of as many communities as possible, registration is limited to one entry per community. Due to time constraints, only 17 slots are available, on a first-come-first serve basis. You may only register if the option for your community is available. We know you will join us in welcoming new participants to help us showcase the rich diversity of Charlotte's growing AAPI community.

All performances must be under 5 minutes.
There is no payment required to submit the form, but in order to complete your registration, you must pay the Registration Fees via check.

Solo performance - $100
Two or more- $200
