City of Ballwin Receives Silver Shovel Award

A big congratulations to our Public Works Department!

This is the third year in a row the City of Ballwin has won the Spire Energy Silver Shovel award! It's given to cities across Missouri for putting safety first when digging.

The Silver Shovel award requires a municipality to be located within Spire’s Missouri service territory, a member in good standing of the Missouri One Call and have no at-fault damages to any Spire facilities in 2021.

The City of Ballwin has received this award in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Thank you to our Public Works Department for always putting safety first!

New Police Station Construction

The new Ballwin Police Station is really starting to take shape! Steel beams are being put into place, and you can really start to see how the building will look. Road closures on Kehrs Mill just past Ballpark Drive could happen sporadically, so keep an eye out for barriers.

The new site is located at the intersection of Kehrs Mill Road and Ballpark Drive, next door to Metro West Fire and across the street from Ballwin Public Works. The total cost of the project is approximately $13.6 million and is being financed with no debt to the City. Funds for the project are coming from the City’s fund reserves and federal stimulus money.
