The City of Branson’s Deputy City Clerk, Hillary Briand, has been named Acting City Clerk effective Monday, February 13, 2023.

Briand brings extensive experience having worked for the City for 15 years as the Deputy City Clerk. Before joining the City of Branson, she served as the Chief Election Deputy in the Taney County Clerk’s Office. Briand has the Missouri Registered City Clerk (MRCC) Certification, is a registered member of the National Association for Parliamentarians and has served on several District City Clerk and State City Clerk Committees.

Former City Clerk, Lisa Westfall, announced her retirement date of February 10, 2023, after 33 years of serving the City of Branson.

As Acting City Clerk, Hillary will assume all the responsibilities of the City Clerk until the position is filled. These responsibilities include maintaining and housing the records of the City while preserving the transparency of the City’s governmental processes. As a Missouri Fourth Class municipality, the Branson City Clerk is appointed by the Board of Aldermen.
