City Of Chino Hills News : The 2022 Emergency Preparedness Workshop Is On September 15

Join the City of Chino Hills for a free Emergency Preparedness Workshop on Thursday, September 15 at the Chino Hills Community Center located at 14250 Peyton Drive. Attendees can visit various information booths from community partners and organizations to gather resources and enter giveaways for free prizes beginning at 6:00 pm with the formal presentation beginning at 7:00 pm.

During the presentation, residents will learn the basics of building their own at-home emergency supply kit and how emergency notifications are activated and sent in the community. Chino Valley Fire District will present “Ready! Set! Go!” wildfire preparedness tips, demonstrate hands-only CPR, and introduce residents to Community Connect where they can electronically submit information for first responders to access when responding to a call. The Chino Hills Police Department will also walk residents through evacuation procedures and emergency communications.

In addition to the City of Chino Hills, Chino Hills Police Department, and Chino Valley Fire District, various community partners and local organizations will be in attendance and have information tables including the Chino Hills Auxiliary Radio Team (CHART), LifeStream, American Red Cross, and several others.

All attendees will receive a free emergency whistle with a small storage compartment at the end of the presentation. Raffle prize winners will also be announced.
