Young artists from kindergarten through sixth grade, and essay writers in seventh and eighth grade, are invited to submit entries for the 25^th Annual Celebrate the Family Poster and Essay Contest. The theme this year is “Together We Make a Family.” The contest is open to kindergarten through eighth-grade students who live in Chino Hills or attend school in Chino Hills. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place winners in each age category.

Two categories are available for entries based on the child’s grade level. Students in kindergarten through sixth grade may submit an 8.5” x 11” poster using hand-applied mediums such as crayons, paint, pencils, or pens. Students in seventh and eighth grade may submit an essay that is one-page, typed, and double-spaced.

Entries must be submitted in person to the Chino Hills Community Center, located at 14250 Peyton Drive, by 4:00 pm on Friday, September 30. Winners will be recognized at the Tuesday, November 8 City Council meeting. Contest winners will also be invited to an Artist Reception at the Community Center on Thursday, November 17.
