Announcement of the Application Period for Culver City Commission, Board, and Committee Appointments

The City Clerk’s Office is currently accepting applications to fill upcoming vacancies for Culver City Commissions, Boards, and Committees. 

Twenty-five (25) openings are available on the following bodies (*Denotes the 15 positions with incumbents, ^ denotes specific Youth position):

- Advisory Committee on Housing and Homelessness (1 Position – Seat 3*)  

- Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (4 Positions – 1 Resident Senior Citizen*,  1 Resident 3*, 1 Local Business Representative*, 1 CCUSD High School Student^)

- Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles County West Vector and Vector- Borne Disease Control District (1 Position*)

- Civil Service Commission (2 Positions – Seat 1, and Seat 2)  

- Cultural Affairs Commission (1 Position – Seat 5*)  

- Disability Advisory Committee (2 Positions – Seat 1*, and Seat 5*)  

- Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (1 Position – Youth Rep Seat 1^)

- Fiesta La Ballona Committee (3 Positions – Seat 5*, Seat 6, and Seat 7*)

- Finance Advisory Committee (2 Positions – Seat 3*, and Seat 6*)  

- Landlord-Tenant Mediation Board (3 Positions – Tenant Seat 3*, Landlord Seat 3*, and Member-at-Large Seat 3) 

- LAX Area Advisory Committee (3 Positions*) 

- Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Commission (1 Position –   Seat 3) 

- Planning Commission (1 Position – Seat 5)

Applications will be accepted by the City Clerk’s Office through Monday, May 16, 2022 at 5:00 PM.

Appointments for these openings are tentatively scheduled to be considered by the City Council at the Regular Meeting on June 13, 2022. Applicants who are appointed should be prepared to attend an Ethics/Brown Act (AB1234) Training on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 6pm. While appointments are made annually – you may now complete an application at any time. We encourage all interested persons to apply for all positions in which they have an interest! Please note that many positions require Culver City residency to be eligible.
