October 29, 2022

From: City of Cupertino

Are you a medical professional who lives or works in Cupertino?

Are you a medical professional who lives or works in Cupertino? If so, you are invited to join the Cupertino Medical Reserve Corps (MRC). The Cupertino MRC program provides an opportunity for healthcare professionals to strengthen our community by being pre-identified and prepared to respond as a volunteer following a large-scale emergency.

Join Mayor Darcy Paul and the City of Cupertino’s Office of Emergency Management for a webinar on the MRC program, including the role and responsibilities of a volunteer and the City during a disaster. Webinars will be held on:

- Tuesday, October 25 at 6 p.m. | Register >

- Thursday, October 27 at 3 p.m. | Register >

The MRC is a specialized function of Cupertino’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program. Both are components of Citizen Corps. The MRC is a national network of local volunteers dedicated to assisting their communities before, during, and after a threat to public health.

The Cupertino MRC program provides an opportunity for health care professionals to strengthen our community by being pre-identified and prepared to respond as a volunteer following a large-scale emergency.

As a registered MRC volunteer and medical professional, your name and contact information will be kept on file with the City; however, the free membership does not obligate you to perform any duties during a disaster. As a volunteer with the MRC program, you will have access to continuous training, including the possibility of Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Thank you for making Cupertino a more resilient community. For more information on the MRC program, visit cupertino.org/mrc.
