DEARBORN, MI – Dearborn is the place to be for Halloween celebrations and activities! Several family-friendly events are taking place across the city, including the brand-new Parks & Recreation “Halloweenfest,” which includes a Haunted Trail and other fun activities for elementary school-age children and their parents on Saturday, Oct. 22.

This brand-new event will include traditional candy bags for the kids and there will also be food trucks on-site for attendees. Admission is free and parking is available in the lot off of Brady St. Costumes are encouraged!

In addition, there are numerous other events across the city, hosted by a variety of businesses, city departments, and more.

Here is a list of all of the fun activities and events taking place for children and families.

-Monday, Oct. 3-31, anytime – Henry Ford Centennial Library Book or Treat for all ages, 16301 Michigan Ave.

-Saturday, Oct. 22, 6:30-8:30 p.m. – Dearborn Parks & Recreation’s first annual “Halloweenfest” and “Haunted Trail” at Ford Field Park, 22051 Cherry Hill.

-Saturday, Oct. 22, 12-2 p.m. – Dearborn Firefighters Open House with activities and Halloween fun for children and families, Fire Station 2, 19750 W. Outer Drive.

-Saturday, Oct. 22 and Sunday, Oct 23, 12-5 p.m. – Dearborn Firefighters Burn Drive’s Pumpkin Patch at Dearborn Fire Safety House, 19750 W. Outer Dr.

-Monday, Oct 24-27 & 29, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. – Bryant Branch Library Spooky Fall: Dramatic Play for children, 16301 Michigan Ave.

-Tuesday, Oct. 25, 6 p.m. – Henry Ford Centennial Library’s Spooky Science program for 3rd and 4th grade children, 16301 Michigan Ave.

-Wednesday, Oct. 26, 6:30 p.m. – Henry Ford Centennial Library’s Let’s Draw Monsters Virtual Cartooning Program, online via Zoom for ages 8-12.

-Thursday, Oct. 27, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. – Henry Ford Centennial Library’s Ghost Walk for all ages, 16301 Michigan Ave.

-Friday, Oct. 28, 4-6 p.m. – Dearborn Historical Museum’s Halloween Trick or Treat Party, 915 Brady St.

-Saturday, Oct. 29, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. – Downtown Dearborn’s Pumpkin Carving Day at Wagner Park, 22060 West Village Drive.

-Saturday, Oct. 29, 1-3 p.m. – Downtown Dearborn’s Pumpkin Carving Day at City Hall Park, 13621 Michigan Ave.

-Saturday, Oct. 29, 2-5 p.m. – Downtown Dearborn’s “Downtown Trick-or-Treat” events at both City Hall Park, 13621 Michigan Ave., and Wagner Park, 22060 West Village Drive.

-Saturday, Oct. 29, 2-4 p.m. – Henry Ford Centennial Library’s Creepy Crafts for children, 16301 Michigan Ave.

-Sunday, Oct. 30, 5:30 p.m. – SODA Neighborhood Association’s 8th Annual “Track or Treat” at Penn-Vassar Park, 3600 Pardee Ave.

More than 40 local businesses will be participating in the Downtown Dearborn “Pumpkin Carving Day” events to help kids make their own Jack O’Lanterns or to paint their pumpkins and take them home free of charge, thanks to local sponsors.
