From: City Of DearbornDEARBORN, MI – On Friday, September 16 at approximately 9 a.m., a local pedestrian was struck while crossing northbound across Michigan Ave near Outer Dr. The victim continues to recover from serious injuries that required hospital treatment. Dearborn Police Department Investigators, who continue to follow leads and gather evidence, were able to obtain surveillance footage from a nearby business that captured the suspect’s vehicle. It is believed that the vehicle will likely have front-end damage as a result of the collision.

Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin stated, “This is yet another unfortunate traffic incident that nearly took a teenager’s life. It is important that drivers always exercise caution while operating a motor vehicle.”
