Art Night This Saturday 

Enjoy an evening of visual art and live music as Encinitas civic art spaces and local art galleries swing open their doors at Art Night Encinitas. The free event celebrates the City’s diverse visual art scene at participating venues and is free to the public. Meet local artists and fellow art lovers while enjoying a variety of artwork, art demos, artist talks, live music and light refreshments at several locations. Free shuttle service provided. EncinitasCA.gov/ArtNight.

Encinitas Spring Program & Summer Camp Guide Out Now!

The City of Encinitas Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department is pleased to present the Spring Programs and Summer Camps Guide. Guides will be mailed beginning this weekend to Encinitas residents. This guide features Encinitas longtime favorites including Junior Lifeguards and Seaside Day Camp, as well as dozens of summer camps like cooking, acting, computer skills, sports of all kinds and much more.

Registration for spring programs and summer camps begins at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 6. Don’t delay, many popular summer programs fill up fast!

Whether you’re just starting out on your zero waste journey or you’re looking to level up your sustainable lifestyle, join I Love A Clean San Diego for a free webinar! During the one-hour webinar, you will learn:

Climate Action Plan Annual Report

The City of Encinitas recently published its 2021 Climate Action Plan (CAP) Annual Report. This report summarizes the progress the City has made toward meeting its greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets set in the CAP and evaluates CAP measure implementation. Of the 20 measures established in the CAP, 13 have been completed in the last four years. To track on going accomplishments be sure to check out the City’s Climate Dashboard.

Complimentary WaterSmart Landscape Workshop

Hosted by San Dieguito Water District, Olivenhain Municipal Water District, Santa Fe Irrigation District and the City of Encinitas, this complimentary workshop will educate and provide resources to homeowners on simple, step-by-step approaches for creating attractive, WaterSmart landscapes. A state-certified landscape architect will walk participants through the process of analysis, plant selection, irrigation design, installation and maintenance. Limited to the first 50 registrants.

NCWA 4th Grade Water Awareness Poster Contest

San Dieguito Water District and other participating water agencies host an annual contest that provides an opportunity for fourth graders to learn about the value of water and exercise their creativity. Winning entries from each agency will be featured in the 2024 NCWA calendar, recognized by the SDWD Board of Directors, featured in SDWD newsletter and receive prizes.

WaterSmart Landscape Contest

San Dieguito Water District participates in this annual competition which rewards water-efficient landscapes created by customers of participating water agencies. Please share this information with anyone who should be recognized for their work in water conservation and neighborhood beautification. Winners will be recognized by our Board of Directors, featured in our newsletter and receive prizes. Entries due by May 13.
