City of Gillette - Council Approves Free Summer Swim Sessions At Campbell County Recreation Center

City Council has approved an agreement with Campbell County Parks and Recreation to provide free open swim sessions at the Campbell County Recreation Center Pool. These free sessions will be offered during both the 2022 and 2023 summer seasons while the City Pool is closed for demolition and construction.

Beginning on Monday, June 27, 2022, the open swim sessions will be available at the Campbell County Recreation Center Pool Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pool patrons will be asked to sign in at the front desk, but there will be no charge for attending these sessions.

“City Council is excited for this partnership with Campbell County Parks and Recreation,” said Administrator Hyun Kim. “We know that the City Pool has been a beloved institution in our community for many decades. We hope that the through the planned pool reconstruction, future generations will have the same opportunity to make many more happy summer memories. And in the meantime, we’re grateful that our residents will be able to utilize the fantastic pool facilities at the Rec Center.”
