JUNE 2022 ISSUE

Welcome to the June issue of the Monarch Press! School may be out but there is a lot happening here at the City of Goleta. First, we want to congratulate our #GoletaGraduates – class of 2022! It’s been a strange couple of years, but you persevered and made it through! As we have seen, high fire season is here. We have had several close calls already (thank you to our incredible firefighters for their quick action to keep us safe!). Now is the time to get prepared and make sure you are signed up for alerts from the County and City.

We are excited to let the community know that the Dam Dinner will return on August 20. We know this is a favorite event for many of you and can’t wait to see you at Lake Los Carneros Dam. Other highlights this month include a public hearing for the Hollister Avenue Old Town Interim Striping Project on June 7, the Public Engagement Commission will discuss the City’s website refresh project at its June 15 meeting, and the Housing Element to be considered by City Council on June 28. We appreciate you staying updated on the #GoodLand.
