The Hazelwood Fire Department is now accepting applications to establish a hiring list for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic through the funds awarded by the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant. This position will go until January 13, 2025, but there is the potential for permanent placement within the department.

Requirements:

Preferred graduate of the St. Louis County Fire Academy or currently enrolled
Certification of Firefighter I & II from the St. Louis County Fire Standards Commission
Must be Paramedic certified by the state of Missouri
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
Age 21 or over
Possess a valid motor operations license
ACLS, PALS and PHTLS or ITLS
CPAT certification within one (1) year of employment
