Gather the family and head over to the Jack D. Huffman Community Building, 801 W. Irving Blvd., for free Sunday admission at the Irving Archives and Museum (IAM) through Jan. 8. Sundays are free for the entirety of the run of “The Negro Motorist Green Book” to encourage all to visit.

"The Negro Motorist Green Book" was an essential traveling companion for African Americans the early to mid-20th century in America, directing them to businesses and services that served the black community. A new exhibition developed by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) in collaboration with award-winning author, photographer and cultural documentarian Candacy Taylor.
