The Irving Economic Development Partnership recently shared the announcement of two Fortune 500 global headquarters and a North American headquarters “win” for Irving.

Caterpillar announced its global corporate headquarters will move to Irving from Deerfield, Illinois. The Fortune 73 company is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives. This comes after the company announced it was relocating its Power Electric Division to Williams Square in 2021. The division move created 500 jobs and $5 million in capital investment. Read the announcement from Governor Greg Abbott.

Last week, Builders FirstSource, a Fortune 176 global headquarters confirmed its move to 6031 Connection Drive in Irving. Builders FirstSource is one of the world’s fastest-growing building products company. View the press release.

TxOne Networks, a Taiwanese global cybersecurity firm has chosen Urban Towers in Las Colinas for its North American headquarters. TxOne Networks is a joint venture between Trend Micro and Moxa. It has offices in Taipei, Tokyo and the Netherlands.

The commitment by these global companies to create new jobs, make capital investments while contributing to the Irving economy is why the city continues to retain its title as the Headquarters of Headquarters in Texas. With these announcements, Irving will now be home to 10 Fortune 500 global headquarters, continuing the city’s economic growth.
