Fall in love with a dog that will pup-kin spice up your life during Irving Animal Services’ (IAS) Big Dogs adoption event. All Irving dogs 40 pounds and up are free to adopt during the month of October at the Irving Animal Care Campus (IACC), 4140 Valley View Lane.

Oftentimes larger dogs are overlooked in shelters because of the misconceptions about their size and appearance. However, bigger dogs have unique personalities that show their true loving nature. Below are reasons why you should adopt a big dog:

- Great family dogs
- Affectionate and friendly
- Loyal companions
- Good apartment dogs with the proper amount of exercise

The animal shelter hours are 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Adoptions must be processed 30 minutes prior to closing. For more adoption information and a list of adoptable dogs visit IAS' Adoption page.
