Position: Planning And Zoning Manager

Department: Code Administration

Primary Duties: This is a mid-management position responsible for administering all aspects of planning and zoning for the City of Lebanon (i.e., affordable housing, community development, land surveys, new construction, renovation projects, etc.). Responsibilities include developing and/or reviewing plans, specifications, blueprints, maps, and related documents pertaining to construction, renovation, and the inspection of project sites; coordination of construction projects from initial proposal to completion, while ensuring adherence to established standards and conformance to policy; and conducting inspections to ensure compliance.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, business administration, civil/electrical/ mechanical/structural engineering, community/economic development, construction management, drafting, engineering management, engineering technology, planning, project management, public administration, or closely related field PLUS three (3) years’ experience in architecture, building/ construction, business management, community/economic development, engineering, inspection, planning, or project management. A minimum of two (2) years’ supervisory/management experience is required. Or Associate Degree in architecture, business administration, civil/electrical/ mechanical/structural engineering, community/economic development, construction management, drafting, engineering management, engineering technology, planning, project management, public administration, or closely related field PLUS five (5) years’ experience in architecture, building/ construction, business management, community/economic development, engineering, inspection, planning, or project management. A minimum of two (2) years’ supervisory/management experience is required. Or High school diploma or equivalency PLUS seven (7) years’ experience in a building trade, construction, drafting, housing development, housing market analysis, planning, project management, urban development, or closely related field, including a minimum of two (2) years’ supervisory/management experience. Or Ten (10) years of experience in a “full-time position” with the City of Lebanon.

Salary Information: Placement within range depends on experience, education and training.

Position/Category: Regular/Full-Time

Level Of Pay: L11

Hourly Wage Range: $22.46 - $35.94
