Vote Safe. Vote Secure. Vote by Mail!

City of Mill Valley voters — ballots will arrive soon! All active registered voters in Mill Valley City Limits will automatically receive a vote by mail ballot for the March 7, 2023, Special Election: City of Mill Valley Member City Council – Short Term seat. The County started mailing ballots February 6 and estimate they will arrive 5-7 days later.

Reduce crowds and long lines - return your voted ballot by mail in the envelope provided. The County of Marin pays the postage!

Sign up to track the status of your ballot at WheresMyBallot.sos.ca.gov.

Accessible Ballots:

Remote Accessible Vote by Mail (RAVBM) voting is available to all voters. To request a RAVBM ballot, go to the Elections Department RAVBM webpage or call (415) 473-6456 for assistance.

Wear Your Sticker: 

An “I Voted” sticker will be included with your vote by mail ballot. Peel and wear it proudly!

Vote Center:

If you would like to vote in person, visit your local Vote Center! The closest Vote Center for the City of Mill Valley is located at:

- Homestead Valley Community Center, Pool Room, 315 Montford Ave, Mill Valley, CA 94941

- Opens February 25 to March 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- Open on Election Day, March 7 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Official Ballot Drop Box:

Mill Valley has two official Ballot Drop Box locations open 24 hours from February 7 to March 7. All Drop Boxes will be closed at precisely at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day as required by law. The official Ballot Drop Boxes in Mill Valley are located at:

- Mill Valley City Hall, 26 Corte Madera Ave, Mill Valley, CA 94941

- Mill Valley Community Center, 180 Camino Alto, Mill Valley, CA 94941

Are you registered to vote in the March 7 Special Election? It’s not too late!

City of Mill Valley voters, are you registered to vote in the March 7 Special Election: City of Mill Valley Member City Council – Short Term? It’s not too late! 

The deadline to register to vote in the March 7, 2023, Special Election is February 21. After that date, registration options change. To learn more, visit the Secretary of State’s same-day registration webpage. 

Check your status now at RegisterToVote.ca.gov. If your residence address is not correct or you are not registered, fill out a new registration form so a ballot can be mailed to you as soon as possible. 

Paper registration forms can be found at most libraries and post offices. To have a form mailed to you, call the Elections Department at (415) 473-6456, toll-free (833) 644-2061, or 711 (CA Relay Service).

Many people are surprised to find out that some "Mill Valley" postal addresses - including those in the Strawberry, Tam Valley, Homestead, Almonte, and Alto neighborhoods - are actually outside Mill Valley City Limits, in unincorporated portions of Marin County. Click here to learn more.
