NAPERVILLE, Ill. — at 1310 hours today, Naperville’s Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) received a 911 call from the employee reporting a fire on the roof of an industrial building. A general alarm was dispatched to the structure fire. A general alarm assignment consists of three engines, two ladder trucks, one squad, two ambulances, and two shift commanders. Within five minutes of the initial 911 call, the first companies arrived on scene and found nothing showing from a single-story industrial building. E4 established Incident Command and went interior to investigate. E4 was met by company representatives, they stated they had a fire in a commercial roaster oven and there was a small fire around the exhaust pipe on roof. T10 and E4 went to the roof to investigate and found fire in the membrane and insulation around the exhaust pipe. The fire was extinguished in under 15 minutes.

The Naperville Fire Department was assisted on the scene by the Naperville Police Department, and no other assistance needed. There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians. Naperville Fire Department determined the fire to be accidental in nature.
