The Job:
The City of Show Low is seeking an energetic individual with strong communication, problem solving and customer service skills to join the Show Low Public Library team. Responsibilities include overseeing the customer service desk and all circulation activities, training part-time staff and modeling excellent customer service; navigating the library’s integrated library system, conducting successful readers advisory and assisting library users at the customer service desk and public computers; assisting supervisor and coworkers with planning and executing large library events; completing special projects as needed.
Requirements:
Applicant must possess: a High School diploma or GED equivalent and three years of library, education or information technology experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience; experience using an integrated library system; extraordinary customer service skills, including the ability to work with the public in a friendly and professional manner; current technology skills; availability to work on Saturdays.
Selection Process:
Will consist of an application screening with the most qualified candidates being invited to participate in a personal interview. Appointment is subject to successful completion of a background investigation and City-paid drug screening.
