Mayor Boyer delivers 'State of the City'

The Colony Mayor Richard Boyer recently provided a "State of the City" address during The Colony Chamber of Commerce's monthly leadership luncheon at the Cascades Event Center. "This is a great time to be in this city," he said. "The next chapter in the success story of The Colony has begun." Highlights from the address include: a record $13 million allocated in the FY22-23 city budget for streets, sidewalks, and alleys; promotion of The Colony Cares Tool-Lending program; the approved hiring of three new School Resource Officers, two Detectives, and two Patrol Officers in FY22-23; and progress on the construction of Firehouse No. 5 in The Tribute, scheduled for completion sometime next year. The Mayor also spoke about enhancements and new programs at Animal Services, the Library, and Parks & Recreation. Many thanks to the Chamber for hosting a fantastic event!
