Clark resident to direct for WCP

(Clark, NJ) Clark resident, Steve Lemenille, will be directing the heartwarming comedy, Tribute, by Bernard Slade, author of Same Time Next Year for Westfield Community Players (WCP). Tribute opens March 5, 2016 at 8:00 pm and continues March 12, 18, 19, 2016 at 8:00 pm; March 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm.

Mr. Lemenille has been directing for Westfield Community Players since 2010 making his WCP directorial debut with Dial 'M' for Murder. Since then he has directed A View From the Bridge (2011), Squabbles (2012), Barefoot in the Park (2013), Proof (2014) and A Thousand Clowns (2015) for Westfield Community Players. In 2013, he received a NJACT Perry Award nomination for OUSTANDING DIRECTION OF A PLAY for Proof.

Other NJACT Perry Award nominations Steve has received include a 2012 Perry Award nomination for OUTSTANDING PRODUCTION OF A PLAY (Rehearsal for Murder), a 2012 Perry Award nomination as OUTSTANDING FEATURED ACTOR IN A PLAY (Rehearsal for Murder),

a 2011 Perry Award nomination as OUTSTANDING FEATURED ACTOR IN A PLAY (Abie's Irish Rose) and a 2009 Perry Award nomination as OUTSTANDING ENSEMBLE ACTOR IN A PLAY (Fools), all for Westfield Community Players. In 2011, he received a Perry Award nomination as OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A PLAY (And Then There Were None) for Main Street Theatre Company, Parlin, NJ.

Mr. Lemenille also directed two shows for Fearless Productions at UCPAC's Hamilton Stage, To Kill A Mockingbird (Sept.-Oct, 2014) and The Other Place (Nov., 2015). To Kill a Mockingbird received the 2015 NJACT Perry Award for OUSTANDING FEMALE YOUTH ACTRESS IN A PLAY (Madelyn Barkocy); and 2015 Perry Award nominations for OUTSTANDING MALE YOUTH ACTOR IN A PLAY, OUTSTANDING FEATURED ACTRESS IN A PLAY and OUTSTANDING FEATURED ACTOR IN A PLAY.

Mr. Lemenille has also appeared on stage at the Producer's Club, NYC and the Jerry Orbach Theater, NYC, in the production of Sex, Relationships and Sometimes...Love, a monologues show by Joelle Arqueros in the monologue, 'Sumi's Hands'. He also directed two monologues in the same work.

Mr. Lemenille is currently the President of Westfield Community Players and its webmaster. He also served as Production Manager for Fearless Productions.

Steve has appeared on stage at Bergen County Players, Stage Crafters (Fairlawn), Old Library Theater, and Regal Dinner Theater Productions. He has also appeared in productions for the Opera Workshop.
