Cortland Repertory Theatre - Let's Catch Up

Arts and Entertainment

From: Cortland Repertory Theatre

HAPPY NEW YEAR, FRIENDS!

From everyone here at CRT, we hope you and yours had a great holiday season! As the new year begins, we are taking a moment to reach out

and apologize!

CRT had an extremely busy December, which caused us

to be out of touch with you in regard to some great news

We apologize for that.

Let's catch up!

Last fall, we dubbed November “CRT Month”, a month of giving, which cumulated on November 29, Giving Tuesday. We were overwhelmed with the response! Tremendous thanks to the 70 NEW people who have joined our Circle of Donors! Altogether, 237 donors gave nearly $75,000 to help CRT continue our mission to bring award-winning professional theater to our patrons. Every gift makes a difference, and we are so grateful to everyone for your support!

Thank you!

We also heard some great news from NYSCA, the New York State Council on the Arts. Thanks to the governor's increase in support to the performing arts, our grant funding for 2023 has been bumped up from $13,500 to $20,000! That was great holiday news as we look forward to a busy year!

So... while we are still recovering from last summer's cancelled performances and we continue to look forward to your support in ticket sales and gifts, rest assured that CRT is here to stay!

A DECEMBER WRAP-UP!

December was an attendance record-breaking month for CRT! More families visited our Photos with Santa weekend than ever before! Our Board of Director’s holiday fund raiser Broadway Brunch (rescheduled from the summer) was sold out with supportive CRT fans!

Two concerts by The Rave-Ons were also sold out and put everyone in a festive, rockin’ mood for the holidays! Over 150 family members attended the Traveling Lantern Theatre Company’s production of

The Story of Ebenezer Scrooge”!

Even our snowed-out-and-rescheduled December Trivia Night was packed with a record-breaking 40 teams!

The CRT Guild’s fund raiser

“Dancing Thru the Decades” New Year’s Eve Community Dance

saw over 125 dancers of all ages eager to welcome in the New Year!

In between it all, we managed to squeeze in a couple of party rentals who enjoyed our holiday decorations festooning the Grand Hall, thanks to the work of our Board and Guild volunteers!

Around the planning, decorating and celebrating, our staff and volunteers

were thankfully able to spend time with their families during the holidays.

Now, at the start of the new year, we optimistically look forward to what 2023 will bring! A fantastic summer season is planned, and we are about to announce our spring shows and events. Stay tuned for more news!

In the meantime, we again wish you a Happy New Year!

See you soon!

Sincerely,

Kerby Thompson
