The Eversource patrol helicopter has the following markings:
Blue Helicopter With White/Grey Markings and Numbered NI431W

If you see a helicopter flying above over the next few days, don’t be alarmed, Eversource is simply doing aerial inspections of its high-voltage electrical equipment.

The inspections will be done Saturday, October 29th weather permitting. Flights will happen between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The helicopter is blue and silver, with a tail number of N1431W, according to an Eversource press release. It will fly over the utility company’s rights-of-way in Madison, Clinton, Westbrook, Old Saybrook, Essex and Deep River to check for emerging vegetation or equipment issues that may threaten electric reliability.
