L.A. Marler's authentic style has led to exhibits, art collections, and events that have integrated history, education, and entertainment. She was raised in a St. Louis family that collected, sold, and repaired typewriters. These machines and vintage cameras are part of her personal history and became part of her visual expression. She is inspired by vintage America, pop art, and digital technology and has been successful in commercial graphics, publishing, and printing for over twenty years.

Marler developed her unique art style in a Santa Monica Airport hanger turned art studio. She now spends her time living and working in both Joshua Tree, California, and St. Louis, Missouri. Her work has been featured in a large number of films and TV shows, including The Typewriter (In the 21st Century), Friends with Benefits, Two and a Half Men, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Criminal Minds, and Arrested Development.

Career Highlights:
- Actor Tom Hanks added Marler's artwork to his collection and gifted her with a signed Olivetti from his typewriter collection.
- Selected by Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department for The Big Read (an NEA grant) for curation of a group art exhibit including Shepard Fairey.
- Selected by Goldenvoice to exhibit at The Desert Trip in 2016.
